Every cost figure published here is an indicative national bracket produced from general data. It does not account for the size, pitch, complexity or condition of your specific job, local labor rates, local code requirements, permit costs in your jurisdiction, or what materials cost the week you buy them. Your actual price may fall outside our published range.

Use our figures to judge whether a bid is plausible and to decide what to ask a contractor. Do not use them as a quote, do not present them to a contractor as a price they should match, and do not make a structural, electrical, plumbing or safety decision on the strength of them. Work described on this site may require permits, inspection and licensed trades.

We take care over the figures and revise them when the underlying data moves, but prices change constantly and we do not warrant that any page is complete, current or error free. Guides carry a publication and an update date so you can judge how fresh they are.

The site is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant uninterrupted access, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

If you find an error, tell us through the contact page. We correct pages rather than editing them quietly.

Home Palais is written for American readers but is published from France by the sole proprietorship identified below. These terms are governed by French law, and the French courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

This does not remove protections you hold under the consumer law of your own country or state, which apply regardless of what this clause says. Nothing here limits a right you cannot lawfully be asked to give up.
